Decalcomania

Emiliano and Lucio, two thirty-somethings with little desire to step fully into adulthood, meet in a public park before reluctantly heading to a high school reunion they’d rather skip. While waiting for a third person to arrive, they dive into a heated discussion — part serious, part tongue-in-cheek — about the state of their generation. When the person finally shows up, the conversation comes to an abrupt halt: but not everything is as it seems.

A short film that blends the tone of black comedy with surreal moments, striking a balance between “Atlanta”, “Clerks” and “Tear Along the Dotted Line”.

Shot in elegant black and white, it focuses on the faces and performances of the two lead actors, Giovanni Anzaldo and Raffaele Musella, as they grapple with reflections on their peers, the fear of growing up and the many contemporary absurdities.

The short film explores the concept of the stretching of time, with echoes of "Waiting for Godot," through a minimalist staging that blends seamlessly with the sound design and

soundtrack.
