Inside Lamborghini Arena with Benny Benassi

The moments leading up to a musical performance are always filled with a unique energy. For Lamborghini, we went to meet Benny Benassi, the pioneer of dance music, just before he took the stage at the Bologna Exhibition Centre for the Lamborghini Arena event.

The producer tells us about the special connection between his passion for cars—which began when he was still very young—and his love for the deep bass lines that have been setting dance floors ablaze for over twenty years, with headlining performances at festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland and the Ultra Music Festival.

To convey the sense of “calm before the storm,” we chose a post-industrial location, taking advantage of the spacious hangars at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, and blended 4K and MiniDV formats to create a pulsating “visual score” that weaves between the DJ’s words and the pounding bass characteristic of his sound.
